On the Pathway of Purpose
There’s always more to grow into
Step Deeper in and enrich your SPIRITUAL walk
We’re so glad to have you as part of our C3 Church Carlingford family! If you’ve been attending for a while and are now feeling the tug to dive deeper into your faith, you’re in the right place. This is your moment to not just attend, but to truly belong.
Life is better together, and we want to encourage you to strengthen your connections within our community. Seek out meaningful relationships through joining a Conneect Group and discover the joy of doing life with others who share your faith journey.
In addition to fostering belonging, its time to consider taking steps in your personal spiritual growth. Whether it’s through Water Baptism, baptism in the Holy Spirit, committing to regular prayer and giving, or joining a team, we’re here to guide and support you every step of the way.
HERE IS What you can do to Take a step Deeper

Connect Groups
Spiritual growth and spiritual community happens best in small groups. Connect Groups provide an opportunity outside of Sunday services for people to get together and talk, pray and study the Bible.
Our Connect Groups meet on a regular basis at all times of the day, all throughout the week, in many locations – cafes, homes & workplaces. We have over 25 Connect Groups running, ranging from Youth and Young Adults Connect Groups, to family groups, retirees and everything in between!
Join a Team
Joining a team here at C3 Church Carlingford can be a rewarding and life changing experience. Finding and fulfilling what God has wired us for is a great thrill!
We have multiple teams spread across all aspects of church, including our worship services, community outreach and church life.

Prayer
We believe in the power of prayer.
Prayer is a conversation between you and God. Nothing more, nothing less. What a privilege to be able to speak with the Creator of the Universe!
As we listen, we hear His voice and are guided by His Word and His answers. Prayer is intimate and helps cultivate our relationship with God.
The Bible encourages us to pray continually (1 Thess 5:17), and that when we do, God is near to us (Deut 4:7), and He listens to us (Jer 29:12). We are to pray in faith, believing God is able to do the impossible (Jam 5:15).
In addition to personal prayer, we provide opportunities for corporate prayer at our monthly Prayer Gatherings, held the first Wednesday evening of the month from 8-9 pm, both onsite at the Ministry Centre and online via Zoom.
If you would like someone to pray with you, please contact us.

Water Baptism
Water Baptism is a major step in your life as a Christian. As you are fully immersed in the water, it’s a symbol of your decision to give yourself completely to Christ. Water is known as a symbol for cleansing and when you are water baptised it symbolises Christ cleansing you from all sin.
Water Baptism is a public statement that you are walking away from sin and everything that blocks you from knowing God. You are accepting Jesus Christ to be in charge of your life and choosing to live His way.
We generally hold 2-3 baptism services per year.

Baptism of the Holy Spirit
When Jesus died for you, He didn’t leave you to struggle through your life alone but He provided you with a helper – the Holy Spirit (John 14:16-17, 15:26, 16:7). At the time of your salvation, you received the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit – not an impersonal force, but One just like Jesus who abides with us all the time. The Holy Spirit is present with us during anything that we face in life. No matter the trial or difficulty, He will walk with us and can help guide us through!
We are called to live a life where we are constantly being transformed to reflect the character of Jesus. We cannot achieve this by our own effort and works and so we desperately need the Holy Spirit so He can work within us.
Being baptised or filled with the Holy Spirit is a further aspect of our journey and occurs so that we are empowered for serving God and fulfilling God’s plan for our life. Baptism of the Holy Spirit is a gift available to all believers, with the normal evidence of speaking in other tongues.
If being baptised of the Holy Spirit sounds like the next step on your Pathway of Purpose, then the best thing to do is talk to your Connect Group leader or a pastor! They can pray for you (it’s that easy!) and help you as you are empowered for ministry by the Holy Spirit. If you’re not sure who to talk to, approach one of our pastors at any of our services and they’ll be more than happy to pray with you!

Fasting
Jesus says, “When you fast…” in Matthew 6:16 and in so doing calls us to a spiritual practice that purifies, focuses and intensifies our prayer life.
